Two jensen 12" speakers are in great shape. Makes them a pain in the arse to work on if something does go wrong. I never had any problems with mine, but the techs I've spoken to say that the board layout in these things is a screaming bitch. And you can't hear it when you're at playing vol. I believe this is a 50 Watt version with 4x10s, so that would have an integral fan. It will therefore run hot and chew through the valves in one to two years. I never much cared for the clean channel, though. The dirty channel of the Peavey Classic range is really good, in my opinion. This has more features than the Bassman, like reverb and channel switching. The Peavey Classic 4x10 is also a winner.

A common mod for Blackface Fenders is to change one preamp to a Marshall, so you have Fender and Marshall in one amp. The two channels are very differently voiced, so you'd have a fair bit of variation there. I should sound ball-tearingly good when turned up, and sparkly clean at lower vol. The lack of frills means there's less junk in there to suck the tone and make noise. And it's powered by a pair of 6L6GCs.It's a classic Fender combo, with a simple meat and potatoes circuit.
